Phil Keegan
My name is Phil Keegan. I am a teacher, teacher trainer and author, currently based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where I work at a teacher training institute.
I was born in the UK in 1960, though my parents were from Ireland. I studied English, French and Political Science at Huddersfield University and then became a teacher of English as a foreign language. Before moving to Malaysia, I worked in France, Germany, the USA, Turkey, the UK and Austria.

I have worked as a teacher trainer on the Cambridge CELTA and DELTA courses and have taught under and post-graduate teacher training courses at universities in Austria. I also worked as a teacher trainer at the Bell Teacher Campus, Homerton College Cambridge, throughout the summers of 2009 and 2010.
My first book, In My Opinion, was published in 2009 in the USA and I am ridiculously proud of it. I am currently writing a course book for the German publisher Cornelsen as well as working on various other projects. |

I am married to a lovely Turkish lady, Nuray Sümbültepe Keegan, who is a translator for Turkish, German and English and recently qualified as an English teacher.
